Cash on Hand at Appomtment This figure comprises of the following « £8,264 40 from the sale of company’s assets, incorporating furniture, fixtures and fittings, to the landlord prior to the date of liquidation The directors sought advice from agents with regard to value and the sale was recommended by agents We understand that the cost value of this equipment was £25,000 « £3,833 35 from cash takings and till floats on the premises at the date of cessation 4 Rent Deposit This has been written down to Nil as this is expected to be retained by the landlord tn respect of outstanding rent accrued 5 Preferential Creditors Wages/Holiday Pay This represents amounts due to employees in respect of wages arrears and accrued holiday pay which will be paid from the Redundancy Fund up to the statutory limits prescribed and also includes employee claims in excess of statutory limits 6 ‘Prescnbed Part’ Under the provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002, introduced on 15 September 2003 the preferential status of the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise has been abolished As a consequence of this a “prescribed part” of the Company's assets must be set aside for the benefit of the unsecured creditors in respect of any floating charge security granted after 15 September 2003 The prescribed part 1s calculated as follows - e 50% of the first £10,000 of the net property of the company if the net assets are in excess of the £10,000 e« 20% of the property thereafter, subject to a limit of £600,000 The prescribed part in this matter is estimated at £ Nil as there is expected to be no assets available to the fioating chargeholder {uf Butak (0 }o3}201— yr af Non Preferential Creditors Employees’ Claims This represents amounts due to employees under the Employment Rights Act 1986 in respect of redundancy and compensation for failure to receive statutory notice These are payable to prescribed limits by the Redundancy Fund with claims over the prescribed limit being due to employees H M Revenue and Customs Represents PAYE/NIC of £10,760 86 outstanding from June 2014 including accrued interest and VAT of £18,315 87 for the quarters to September 2014, December 2014 and the last quarter to cessation Associated Creditors Represents funds due by the company to the directors Trade Creditors Trade creditors are based on the books and records of the company at the date of liquidation and are stated inclusive of VAT 5 Inclusion does not constitute an admission that there 1s now or has been in the past any legal liability upon the company to make payment of the whole or part of the amount shown The statement of affairs does not reflect the fees and expenses of administering the liquidation wivenel Zee re (0/03 | Qoio’ Quon — po] prs
