CHAIRMAN’S        STATEMENT


When   JCT   Building (Yorkshire) Ltd was formed on 26 November 2013, I had traded as a sole
trader for 5 years | went LTD because of the increase work load and the size of the projects I
was taking on 1 had to triple the amount of staff | had working for me to cope with the work 1]
had on Things started to go wrong after about three months when I had trouble getting my stage
payments oft a couple of jobs and that led me to take money from other areas to cover the wages
This just got progressively worse as the weeks went by and by the end of the year, | was in the
position | find myself in today As soon as the money was coming 1n it was covering bills from
the months before In October 2014, I tried to reduce my outgoings by mainly getting rid of over
half of my work force, but that did not help and then that left me no other option but to contact
Sterling Ford This 1s not something I took lightly but it was starting to affect my health and life
and I was left with no other option    Accordingly on 5 January 2015 we instructed Sterling Ford to
assist us in placing the Company in creditors’ voluntary liquidation
