Statement of Affairs
This Statement of Affairs 1s presented
« subject to verbal explanation at the meeting of creditors
® subject to the costs and expenses of the liquidation, and
e with applicable trade creditors shown inclusive of VAT
Book Debts and Retentions
There are three main book debts and retentions outstanding, with a combined value of
£194,090 The clients’ Quantity Surveyor has disputed the amounts due on all three contracts
and various set off claims and liquidated damages have been attributed to the final payments
due The directors dispute the damages and claims put forward by the clients’ Quantity
Surveyor, however it 1s likely that legal action will be required to progress matters The
realisable value in relation to these three debtors 1s therefore uncertain
There are additional debtors with a value of approximately £10,000, however the directors
are uncertain whether any realisations can be made in this regard
Fixtures and Fittings
The fixtures and fittings of the Company had net book value £3,938 in the accounts for the
year end 31 March 2011 As at the date of Liquidation, these have a current net book value of
£2,573
A valuation of the Company’s fixtures and fittings has been obtained, which valued the assets
at £52500 The hkelihood of achieving a realisation in this regard will be dependent upon
how quick a purchaser can be found, taking into account the potential storage, surance and
removal costs
Motor Vehicles
The motor vehicles consist of four vans, one car and one 4x4 Two of the motor vehicles are
currently not of a roadworthy condition
The motor vehicles of the Company had net book value £8,543 in the accounts for the year
end 31 March 2011 As at the date of Liquidation, these have a current net book value of
£5,581
A valuation of the Company’s motor vehicles has been obtained, which valued the assets at
£5,250, however this does not take into account the potential storage, insurance and removal
costs
Shares & Investments
The Company has a 90% shareholding in The Building Works Projects Limited, a subsidiary
of the Company This Company 1s dormant with not assets and therefore has no realisable
value.
